It has been difficult trying to keep up on this blog, although I am trying. This past week Brodie has been in a lot of discomfort due to some tummy issues and so it has been crying 24/7. In addition to his incesent sobs, Damon flew up to VA for the week for the new hire training for his new job. Due to Damon's absence, Brodie and I (and Kayla and Saydi) drove down to my parent's house to visit so that we wouldn't have to be alone. Unfortunately, despite bringing my camera, I didn't take one picture of us while we were down there. We did however get to see some friends which was nice. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to visit my grandparents though being that they both were ill : ( We are hoping that they feel better soon!
Luckily, after a lot of prune juice, Brodie seems to be doing better and hasn't been crying as much...just in time for daddy to come home. It is so nice to have several hours of the day where he is up and attentive without wailing.
This weekend was beautiful and we spent most of it outdoors. On Saturday we went to my company picnic and ate bbq and played kickball with my colleagues and their families. It was a good time. And today we met my sister and her family at the university and played outside with the boys. I brought my camera hoping to get a lot of fun pictures...and the lighting was perfect!...but again realized I didn't charge my battery! It is official...I NEED MORE SLEEP!!!! You'd think I would have learned my lesson the first time. Hopefully this will be the last time. I did get to snap a few pics before it died though.
