So the other day when I was reviewing safety ratings for car seats, I came to the startling realization that of our 2 cars, one is a 2 seater truck which is NOT safe or practical for a baby! Especially since Damon is going to be helping a lot with the pick up/drop off for day care when I go back to work in January. So we came to the decision that it is time to sell the truck and buy a new car...which is sad, because we love the truck and weren't really ready to buy a new vehicle. And when I say new, I mean used, but new to us. We are not ready to take on hefty car payments if we don't have to.
So for the past few days/nights I have been researching car safety ratings, consumer reports, browsing dealerships and the classified, and trying my best to find us a good deal on a safe car. We have had a couple of leads, but haven't executed yet. We are going to a dealer tonight which looks promising, but with used cars you never know. I will be spending my lunch hour on Carfax reviewing the reports...fun!
As for the truck, we have had one hit that looks good, but again, until the money is passed over and the title signed it is not a done deal. Unfortunately, this is bringing on a lot more stress than I was anticipating...I really do hate the car buying process! Well...here are a few of the front runners we are looking at. They all rate very high in safety and consumer satisfaction! We'll see what we end up with...
